Ken Slavin, Marketing and Sales, has long experience in working with people with developmental disabilities and businesses that serve disadvantaged populations. Immediately prior to working for Therap Ken was Supervisory Social Insurance Specialist for the District of Columbia. In that position he supervised the District of Columbia's MR/DD Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver Office. During his last year and a half with the District government that included preparing and submitting a renewal application, developing an online service authorization system, and implementing a renewal Waiver. That year and a half was an exhausting crash course in the future of HCBS Waivers since the District was one of the first Waivers required to implement CMS's Quality Initiative.

Ken has a Masters degree in Organizational Communication and prior to working for the District of Columbia government Ken was a management consultant and worked with colleges as well as the Department of Education and the Social Security Administration on the design and implementation of management information systems.

Ken's decision to join the Therap Team resulted when Ken combined his experience in management consulting, his experience with Medicaid, and his year and a half of work on preparing and implementing a renewal Waiver and decided that the Therap system was the only system that took care of the business side of long-term care while providing excellent tools for supporting a high quality of life for people with developmental disabilities.
